REGIONAL COMMUTER LINE TO START APRIL 6TH First Two Weeks Ride Free to the Public
SHOW LOW— The new Pinetop-to-Holbrook Regional Commuter Line is scheduled to pull out of the Pinetop-Lakeside Safeway parking lot at 6:15 a.m. on Monday, April 6th. This first regional public transit system is a product of the cooperation of Navajo County, Northland Pioneer College, City of Holbrook, City of Show Low, Town of Snowflake, Town of Taylor, and Town of Pinetop Lakeside. As a way of introducing the service to the public, fares will be waived for the first two weeks of operation. Riders will be charged after April 20th. Passes will be available for purchase on the bus (exact change or personal check only), as well as at the Navajo County Complex in Holbrook and the 2nd floor of the Show Low Library. Passes may be purchased at these, and other locations to be announced beginning on April 3rd. The All Day Pass provides a free transfer to Four Seasons connection in Show Low.
Longer-term bus passes are available for the following rates: Monthly Pass (unlimited rides) . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . $60.00 Monthly Pass for Snowflake or Taylor) $30.00 Student Semester Pass . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . $70.00 A 20-Punch Pass is available for Seniors and Disabled for $10. Each punch is good for a $1.00 fare, so a trip from Holbrook to Show Low would take five punches at a cost of $2.50.
